Sayano-yu dokoro Onsen
INTRO
Normally when entering an Onsen you go directly to the vending machine to buy your ticket. At Sayano it is different. When entering you receive a key which also has a bar code attached to it. You can purchase everything with this key and you pay when leaving at the vending machines at the exit. The specialty of this Onsen is bedside the variety of bath and outdoor area the upper floor which has a hot stone sauna. As you were clothes, entrance fee and dressing purchased additional inside at the reception, mixed gender is allowed. You have 3 Saunas (Winter, 11°C, Autumn 40°C, Summer 47°C) and a relaxing room for around 24 people.

Tip: try out the big massage chair for 10 min / 260 Yen. Very relaxing after the onsen. And you need a 100 Yen Coin for the shoe locker.
SAUNA
The sauna can occupy 12 people. It has 4 benches. A television is showing news. The temperature is in the upper area 86°C and in the lower area 66°C. The heat is through an oven.
No plastic seat pads are provided in front of the sauna. So better bring your own foam pad.
Steam sauna
The sauna can occupy 8 people. Salt is provided at the entrance which smoothen your skin. Massage it gently on your body while sweating inside the sauna. Don’t let the salt enter eyes and open wounds!
