Saitama SeigAnji Onsen

INTRO

The Saitama Seiganji Onsen utilizes natural 38.3 degree Celsius spring water that springs from 1,500 meters below ground. The wide outdoor area covers 7 baths from which you can enjoy the view of the bamboo forest.

Access: It is a 18 min. walk (or a 5min bus ride) from the North Exit of Nishi-Omiya Station (JR Kawagoe line)

Tip: try out the big massage chair for 10 min / 300 Yen. Very relaxing after the onsen. And you need a 100 Yen Coin for the changing room locker.


SAUNA

The sauna can occupy 24-28 people. It has 4 benches. The temperature is in the upper area 84 degrees and in the lower area 74 degree.

Tip: listen to the birds, watch the bamboo grove, take a nap and/or meditate with your breath (4-7-8 method, see TIPS & FAQ). Due to the fact that it is open-air, you can look at the sky, clouds, stars, feel rain drops or snow on your face or do sunbathing.

RESTAURANT

A cold beer and delicious food fits perfectly to an after-onsen treatment.

Business hours: 11:00-24:00 (weekdays), 10:00-24:00 (weekends & holidays), last order 23:30.

The restaurant provides domestic soba, the chef’s handmade curry and other delicious dishes. All can be purchased through the vending machine. Here you can find the menu from the restaurant.
