bunka yokusen Onsen

INTRO

Bunka Yokusen is a small onsen, 17 minute walk from naka-meguro station or 4 minute walk from Ikejiri-ohashi station. The specialty of the onsen is the classical music, mainly Jazz, which is played not only in the lobby but also in the bath and sauna. Another specialty is the very hot sauna (102°C) and the very cold cold-bath (14.5°C). As most information is also in English, the onsen is fitting for first-timers. Nevertheless, there isn’t any shampoo and body wash available - bring your own or rent it. It is also common behavior in this onsen to take a plastic stool and bowl from the entrance to the washing station and afterwards put it back where you picked it up.

The sauna is 102°C, 2 benches. The sauna fits around 6-8 people.

Plastic seat pads are provided in front of the sauna. There are also 2 plastic chairs to rest.

The bubble bath contains a lot of nano bubble particles. Nano bubble particles are said to have various effects such as ultrasonic effect, diet effect, thermal effect, and potential treatment for suppressing arteriosclerosis lesion formation.

The Jet bath uses soft water for the health and beauty of your skin, because it filters the hardest component (calcium, magnesium, etc.).
