Haneda airport Izumi Tenku No YU Onsen

INTRO

The NEW Onsen at Haneda Airport Garden is absolutely stunning as you can sit outside and see the planes coming in and out while viewing the waters of the Tama River beside Tokyo Bay. It opened in December 2022.

The following descriptions about e.g. amount and size of the various baths and sauna is therefore related to the bigger area!

Open: 24 hours BUT baths are unavailable from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm due to cleaning.

Access: Go to Terminal 3 International Haneda Airport, ARRIVAL Hall. Go to “Handea Airport Garden” and walk 2min until the VILLA FOUNTAIN GRAND Hotel. Walk into the hotel and take the elevator to the 12th Floor.

SAUNA

The sauna can occupy 15 people. The temperature is ~90 degrees Celsius (194 Fahrenheit).

Frequently water is released onto the oven which will increase the temperature within the sauna | TV is available, showing news | Seat pads are provided outside

Tip: In case you did not bring your own seat pad, there are a enough available. Rinse them before and after usage. They also have a anti-bacteria spray.

Steam Sauna

The Herbal Steam Sauna can occupy 6 and more people. It has 6 seats and it is very spacious. No information about the temperature.

Tip: Use the salt to smoothen your skin and massage away your old skin. Careful: do not place the salt on open wounds and into your eyes. Otherwise clean immediately with lot of water.

hot stones Sauna

There are 3 different kind of Hot Stone Sauna: Lava Stone, Rock Salt, and Black Germanium. There is also a Cool Room. The hot stones saunas are included in the price - normally often you have to pay additionally for it. They are also mix-gender as you are wearing your rope given to you by the facility during check-in at the reception. There are different temperatures depending which sauna you choose

Outdoor (open air)

Natural Hot Spring Bath (Corner View): 43.3°C, 110°F, 4-6 ppl | Hot Spring Bath: 41.8°C, 107°F, 4-6 ppl | 5 ppl Lie-Down Bath (body half covered with water): 38.3°C, 101°F

The outside baths are completely open to the sky.

Terrace

(Sun) Lounger Outside: 3 | Chairs: 0 | Hammocks: 0 | View: Airport, Tama River | Water Hose: none but several water scoops available (e.g. to clean off lounger, seat pads, and so on)

The terrace is open and you can see the Tama River and partially the Airport.
